ICC is collaborating with Google and the International Trade Centre (ITC), to launch DEEP – Digital Export-Enablement Programme for ASEAN businesses. This programme will deliver a series of trainings and workshops to strengthen the capacities of 1000 SMEs from 10 countries – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
DEEP will be implemented with the support of the ICC Global Centres of Entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia (CoE Jakarta Hub), as well as partnering business support organizations and government ministries. Partners also include the ICC Academy.
What themes will DEEP cover?
The curriculum for DEEP is designed based on the main challenges and opportunities identified in a 2022 research/survey on MSME Digital Exports in Southeast Asia conducted by ICC and Google. It will cover important topics, such as identifying and comparing trade opportunities, understanding market access conditions, exploring trade finance options, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
How will DEEP be implemented?
DEEP will be implemented in two phases. In phase 1, there will be a training of trainers and will be followed up by the training of SMEs in phase 2.
The selected trainers will be remunerated for delivering the training. The programme is free of charge.
How can you help?
DEEP is an excellent opportunity for SMEs in 10 ASEAN countries to improve their participation in regional and global trade.
