Personal Data Protection Law Webinar

 

Background

The Parliament finally passed the Personal Data Protection (“PDP”) into Law. This is a new milestone for Indonesia’s uniformed data protection regulatory. The PDP law is expected to ensure that the rights of consumers are guaranteed, including the rights to confidentiality and security of their data.

The regulation is also a major step forward for the business actors and foreign investor. The PDP Law will be a huge contribution to improving Indonesia’s business and economic conditions and is expected to provide legal certainty for the industry to process and transfer data.

Based on this background, ICCA, ICC Indonesia and HHP Law Firm will be hosting a joint webinar on PDP Law, focusing on the data protection role from the legal perspective.
